For those of you that still watch "Girlfriends", it was dumped today.

From ahotmess.com

We hear from a source within the “Girlfriends” writing camp that the CW has decided to cancel the series immediately instead of bringing it back for a ninth season.

While no official announcement had been made as of press time, we were told the CW will not even film this season’s remaining nine episodes that were suspended during the writer’s strike.

Ironically, news of the show’s cancellation comes just as the strike has ended and the writing staff was preparing to return to work. We were informed by one of the writers yesterday that Monday night’s one-hour block of new episodes served as the show’s last.

“Girlfriends” became the longest-running live-action comedy series currently on network television with the debut of its current season in October 2007. The writers strikeBroadway-Strike-1919 Oct-07 suspended production after only 13 of 22 ordered episodes were completed.

The series, created by Mara Brock-Akil, was consistently the No. 1 show in black households since its Sept. 11, 2000 debut. Original cast members Tracee Ellis Ross, Golden Brooks, Persia White and Jill Marie Jones starred as a group of close friends dealing with life and love in Los Angeles. Jones left the series in at the end of Season 6. (Source)

I didn't like the show after Toni left. Storylines became weird and just was not the same. Some sites are listing the names & numbers of key people to contact to protest but this is pretty much a done deal after tonight.

Did you check out the Grammy's last night?

Me neither and so glad that it was not three wasted hours. My husband is watching it now on the DVR and it appeared to be the hottest of messes. Somebody please keep Aretha Franklin outta that yellow mess that I just saw her in for some event in December. All you have to do is see the fashion pics to know that the show sucked.

Yet another "Jena Six" guy got in trouble AGAIN...

A defendant in the Louisiana "Jena Six" case was arrested after allegedly slamming a student's head into a bench at his new school in Texas, police said. The defendant, Bryant R. Purvis, 19, was arrested on a charge of assault causing bodily injury Wednesday after an altercation at Hebron High School. It began because Purvis believed a student had flattened his tires, Sgt. John Singleton said. Purvis was released from jail Thursday morning. According to a police report, the student felt Purvis come behind him and "grab his neck with one hand and begin to choke him." Purvis then said, "Don't you ever mess with my car again" and slammed the student's head into the bench of a table and walked away, the report said. The student's left eye was injured, but Singleton didn't know whether he needed medical attention after seeing the school nurse.

And yes, this is one of the guys that showed up at the BET Awards and was partying it up like he was a rock star...

Barack projected to have more delegates than Hillary..

From bossip.com..

In a surprise twist after a chaotic Super Tuesday, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) passed Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) in network tallies of the number of delegates the candidates racked up last night.

The Obama camp now projects topping Clinton by 13 delegates, 847 to 834. NBC News, which is projecting delegates based on the Democratic Party’s complex formula, figures Obama will wind up with 840 to 849 delegates, versus 829 to 838 for Clinton.

Campaign Manager David Plouffe said: “By winning a majority of delegates and a majority of the states, Barack Obama won an important Super Tuesday victory over Sen. Clinton in the closest thing we have to a national primary. From Colorado and Utah in the West to Georgia and Alabama in the South to Sen. Clinton’s backyard in Connecticut, Obama showed that he can win the support of Americans of every race, gender and political party in every region of the country. That’s why he’s on track to win Democratic nomination, and that’s why he’s the best candidate to defeat John McCain in November.”

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why Missy Elliott did her latest video in 3-D??

I turned on the TV the other day when the video was on and I started seeing spots and my eyes rolled back in my head. I had my husband to check and make sure I was OK, then I read online that she did it in 3-D. As in Dumb...Dumb...Dumb. Did anyone think before doing this? Are we, the public, expected to go out and BUY a pair of 3-D glasses just to look at her video? Not bloody likely...

VOTE TOMORROW!

If you like in a state that has their primary tomorrow, please take a few minutes to vote. I am in Georgia and we could vote last week, which I did and I am so glad that I knocked it out. SO VOTE TOMORROW! Let your voice be heard...

And speakin' of Fiddy..

Have you peeked his new teeth? Maybe I am just used to his rabbit look but something just does not look natural about them. Too perfect when you know a month ago he looked like he could make his way thru a fence...

I cannot stop laughing at this...

From D-Listed...

Paris Hilton hosted a pre-Super Bowl party for 944 magazine last night in Phoenix. 50 Cent performed but wasn't feeling the Paris skank. During his set, he gave her a shout out. Dumb skank thought that meant she could share the stage with him. PageSix.com reports that Paris started dancing near the stage and then got up there to dance with 50. He quickly told her, "Get the fuck off the stage!"

Paris got off the stage and started crying. Whore tears. She told the party's producers that it was her party and that she wanted to dance.

50 deserves a medal for putting that whore in check. He probably doesn't like the fact that Paris throws the n-word around whenever she wants.

SUPER BOWL WEEKEND!

Who are you going for?
